Halloween Decor

Here is a frame I made for the holiday coming up. The diecuts and paper are from K&Company's Spooktacular line. The "Happy Halloween" cut is from Mini Monsters and is cut at 4". This picture isn't the best, but it did come out pretty darn cute!

Critter Swap

It has been a busy couple of weeks. Haven't had the opportunity for much crafting since I started teaching my 2/3 grade combo class. It's been hectic! Well I signed up with Paper Crafts by Candace for a critter swap. The rules were that the cut had to be a critter of some sort, and around 3". So I decided to cut the skunk from Create a Critter at 3" and use 3D paint for their little noses. They came out so cute! I hope the others who receive one of these little skunks like them as much as I do.

Puppy Surgery

I am really trying to catch up on my dog's scrapbook. I know it's weird that I've created a scrapbook dedicated to my dog, but she is my baby. I couldn't imagine life without her. This page is from when she had to get spayed a few years ago. Poor little thing had to wear a cone for 2 weeks, but she was such a trooper through all of it. I used the Don Juan cartridge to cut out the font, and used my Cuttlebug to emboss the shadows on the pictures using the tiny dots folder. The flower embellishments are random chipboard flowers I had laying around. I thought this came out pretty well. I did not put a lot of stuff towards the top of the page because I felt the bottom had enough going on already. The paper has some glitter to it which gives it a little bling.

Composition Books

Well school is getting back in session, so I decided to customize a few notebooks for my younger siblings and a few friends. Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures of all of them before I gave them to their new owners, but they all came out SOOOO cute and are very loved. I used Create A Critter to cut the little animals for each notebook. I covered them using coordinating paper that I had laying around. Sorry, I do not know which stack they came from... I just wanted to use up some of the paper I had laying around. I hope you enjoy these. They were a lot of fun to make.

Cupcake Toppers

I am so in love with my Mickey and Friends cart! I just love the die cut of Mickey's pants, and decided to use it to make some cute cupcake toppers. Not sure what I'm going to do with them yet, but I just couldn't resist making them. I will be working on matching invitation tags later this afternoon, and will post them when they are complete. Enjoy!

Notebooks

It's been awhile since I last posted. I have been pretty busy with job interviews and all sorts of random stuff this week. This week also brought the delivery of my Bind It All system which I excitedly used to create a few small notebooks. Here are just a few pics of what I made. The Mickey notebook was cut using the Mickey and Friends cart, and the Snail was cut using the Paisley cart. The other one was decorated using chipboard cutouts I got at Target for fifty cents! Anyways, enjoy! More to come....

Tea Party

I went to Michael's a few days ago and was able to get a really cute stack of DVWV paper that had a lot of stitch patterned paper with birds, tea cups, and sewing themes. The best part was that the stack only cost $5! What a steal. So I decided to use it for my first attempt and this type of folded card. I think it came out really well. I just love the colors of the paper! :-)

Dinosaur Notebook

I was looking through a few blogs by fellow crafters and saw the cutest idea for making notebooks. I don't have a binding machine, but the ribbon is holding it together pretty well. All I used was unlined index cards inside and designer cardstock for the front and back covers. The dinosaur was cut from EDPD at 3" (I think!) and adhered to the front cover using snail adhesive. I just may invest in a cool binding machine, or at least find another method for binding. Anyways, enjoy!

Blanket

Here is the first completed blanket I've made. It came out very well considering I hadn't taken on a project like this before. I gave it to my mom for her birthday and she loved it. Hoping to make a few more. :-)

Magnets

I recently purchased the Pooh and Friends and Sesame Street Friends cartridges. As my first project for them, I made refrigerator magnets for my moms fridge. She loved them! They came out incredibly cute!

Gummy Bears!

This card was made with my youngest sister at thought (she's 11.) I was sitting at my desk eating gummy bears and thought it would be cool to make a card with cuts that resemble gummy bears. So here's how it worked out. I absolutely adore my Peachy Keen Stamps that I recently purchased. I will definitely be making another purchase with them soon.

Let It Snow

So, I bought the Winter Woodland cartridge (super deal on Ebay for only $12.00!!!!!) but I didn't really know what I would do with it. Sure, it has super cute holiday cuts, but it's a little fancier than what I would normally choose. Tonight I decided to try and make a card using the cartridge to see if it's something worth hanging onto. I'm sure glad I did. This card was made using Martha Stewart cardstock, a few buttons, and a few pieces of bling. I am really impressed by how it came out.

New to this...

I'm new to this whole blogspot thing, but I wanted an opportunity to post some of the creative things I've made. Let's see how it goes. :-)
